Tag in Bananaland!

“Tag in Bananaland!” (2021) is a cute, fun, casual tag video game.

Our team's design goal was to bring the feeling of playing on a playground to computer screens. We used unique obstacles; a hand-drawn art style; silly sound effects; and upbeat music to create this playful atmosphere. To make our game feel more like tag, we experimented with multiplayer capabilities, by designing the game for up to 4 players.

I worked on animation, UI, art, and game design for this project. Our team used Unity as our game engine.

The game can be downloaded and played here.

Pushing Your Buttons

Pushing Your Buttons (2021) is a single-player puzzle game, where the goal is to press a series of red and blue buttons to unlock doors and reach the purple button at the end of the level.

While the game's mechanics are very simple and elegant, I used them in complex ways to create interesting puzzles in the level design.

I designed, programmed, and created the art for this game. I used Unity as my game engine.

The game can be played online here.

Real Soccer

Real Soccer (2021) is a funny and chaotic soccer video game.

Our team took inspiration from games like “QWOP” and “Goldeneye”. We wanted our controls to be so hard to use that they caused players to spend most of the game laughing at themselves, due to how bad they are at playing it and how funny the sprites look as they move.

I worked on project management, concept art, UI, particle effects, and game design for our project. We used Unity as our game engine.

The game can be played online here.

Travis Trails and the Tale of the Treeteller's Treasure

“Travis Trails and the Tale of the Treeteller’s Treasure” (2020) is an action adventure RPG, where you play as a ranger named Travis Trails, who is tasked with recovering a stolen gem and returning it to the Treetellers.

This was a particularly fun game to make, because I created Travis Trails as a character a long time ago. It was really satisfying to be able to take my old character design ideas, and express them through this game.

I designed, programmed, wrote, and created the art for this game. I used Gamemaker Studio 2 as my game engine.

The game can be played online here.

Wow Nice Teeth

“Wow Nice Teeth” (2021) is a casual simulation game, where the player’s goal is to clean their teeth.

The twist of the game is that the controls to move the toothbrush around frequently get their functions reversed, which makes the game a lot harder than it looks. It is a really fun game to watch other people play, as players often laugh at themselves due to how bad they are at playing it.

I designed, programmed, and created the art for this game. I used Gamemaker Studio 2 as my game engine.
